The Round Dining Chair helped Hans Wegner launch the notion of Danish design abroad. In 1950 it appeared on the cover of the American magazine "Interiors" and was referred to as "the most beautiful chair in the world". The chair combines, as Wegner's furniture generally does, functionality in its construction and production with user friendliness and organic shape. The Round Chair is an icon of Danish design to such an extent that it appeared on a stamp in 1991.
