John Montgomery started working in the automotive and industrial paint industry when he was 18. He began his position as a storeman learning the ropes. Then went out onto the road to become a rep servicing the North side. He decided to take off and begin his own business with the support of his wife Joanne, in her words “well just do it”. Colourfast is now one of the biggest paint shops in QLD and is a successful family owned business. Colourfast first begun trading in 1995 at a small shed in Enoggera. After having a few different locations in the early days, they became well established in the automotive Industry when Re locating to Tradelink road. There became a lot more tradesmen wanting to “Do it yourself” style. The business was growing rapidly and required a bigger warehouse. So, in 2008 John and Joanne built their own warehouse where Colourfast resides today. Colourfast now have 3 locations Hillcrest, Yatala and Lawnton.They now have a training facility an online website and have evolved so much more since they began. Our biggest achievement and something that we are very grateful for is the ongoing support and loyalty from our customers. Our motto “If you want it, we will get it”. We plan to grow with the industry, continue to supply good service, quality products and competitive pricing.
