From 1981 Ray Threadwell has worked in Queenscliff as a sole trader trading as ‘Ray Threadwell Building Services’ until forming a new company in 2006 trading as ‘Bellarine Peninsula Homes Pty Ltd’. Ray has been in the building industry for over 35 years. He started his apprenticeship in 1973 on multi story constructions in Melbourne. After 7 years, he moved to Queenscliff and continued his work, branching out into all aspects of the building trade involving domestic and commercial construction. He specialises in new homes, extensions, renovations and restoration of heritage buildings. Ray is registered with the Building Practitioners Board for Domestic and Commercial work and is a platinum member of the Housing Industry Association (HIA) having belonged to the association for over 25 years. He understands that you want your building experience to be stress free for you. Ray prides himself on showing attention to detail and working closely in collaboration with his clients, architects, employees and subcontractors. Bellarine Peninsula Homes is a family business with a core group of employees. Steven, Ray’s son is a qualified carpenter and supervisor. Clare, Ray’s daughter has a Diploma in both Occupational Health and Safety and Sustainability and puts her skills to good use in the business. There is also another qualified carpenter and two apprentices who have almost completed their training.
