Over time this oil rises to the surface and creates a “greying” effect (patina) and contours in the grain of the timber. We recommend a regular clean with warm soapy water to remove surface dirt. As the timber dries out it may crack. This perfectly normal and is part of the aging process of the Teak. Bio Polish (purchased from Segals) is a combination of linseed, beeswax and natural vegetable oils. It can be used on teak to enhance the natural colour and help prevent staining and patina. CARE All of our products have been manufactured using quality products and materials. You owe a duty of care in looking after your outdoor furniture as Australia has the most severe UV light in the world. This is the major cause of damage to your new furniture. To protect your outdoor furniture and keep it looking beautiful we strongly recommend using outdoor protective covers when not in use. Regular maintenance will prolong the life of the furniture.
