Our Replica Tulip Tables are based on the original design by Eero Saarinen in 1956. The tulip range was so named because of the slender, elegant stem like pedestals and organic shapes that typified all of his pieces. Saarinen wanted to escape the tedium of legs and square surfaces that had encroached on furniture of the time and created this table with smooth lines and no edges. The table top and base are made from solid fiberglass in a gloss finish. This beautiful table is made to the exact specifications of the original with a fine bevelled edge around the side of the table, with a thin stem base. This elegant table comfortably seats 3-4 people.
