The story behind the Poul Henningsen PH 2/1 Table Lamp Poul Henningsen's PH 2/1 Table Lamp was designed in the 1920s as part of his sumptuous lighting range, which also included the PH 3/2 and PH 4 1/2-3 1/2 Table Lamp. Each design featured Henningsen's signature revolutionary shade design, based on a logarithmic spiral, with the centre of the light source placed in the spiral. This unique interplay of three separate perfectly-fitted opal shades allowed light to be dispersed softly and without glare, softening a space creating a peaceful, relaxing living environment.
