Macquarie Community College is a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that has set the standard in adult community education since our beginnings in 1950.
We are one of the largest community colleges in the Sydney metropolitan area and our purpose is to create and deliver affordable and inclusive learning opportunities that meet the needs of individuals, organisations and communities.
The main college campuses are located in Blacktown, Carlingford, Chatswood, Mount Druitt, Richmond and Ryde, in addition to hundreds of classes delivered in other community and employer sites so that we meet the needs of our clients.
We strive to make all participants feel welcome, supported and respected and delight in the diversity of their cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, ages, beliefs, and abilities.
Our three main program areas are English language and literacy tuition, Career Training for jobseekers and those changing or accelerating their careers, and our open entry short courses for Leisure and Self-improvement.
We provide a broad range of subsidised accredited courses in English Language and Literacy, employability and foundation skills training for jobseekers, digital literacy and qualifications and specialist training for employment in growing industries such as aged care, childcare, disability, and business. We are especially skilled in working with migrants from non-English speaking backgrounds and those facing barriers to participation in education and training.
There are over 100 leisure and self improvement short courses on offer at any one time with new courses being launched each term. Whether its foreign languages, arts and crafts, outdoor adventure, photography, self improvement, home renovation/DIY or fitness and sport, we have something for everyone!
